The Schuylkill Valley Model Railroad Club was founded in 1968 and met for several years in the basements of the club founders.  In 1975 SVMRRC moved to its current location in Phoenixville, PA and has been expanding its model railroad there ever since.  Today there are many viewing areas around the nearly 800 feet of track with realistic scenery and many viewer actuated features for visitors to enjoy.

The railroad has evolved over time as the technology of model railroading has progress.  Initially built using Direct Current analog current and block technology, the railroad today uses distributed digital technology with digital processors in each engine managed by handheld digital controllers in what is called Digital Command and Control, or DCC model railroading technology.

This railroad is always changing as scenes are modified and details added, so please come and to SVMRRC and spend a little time in the world of model railroading.
